Can I use an electric blanket on my Joy! mattress?

Yes, but remember to follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Do I need to flip the Joy! mattress?

Flip a Joy!? No flippin' needed, but we do recommend rotating your mattress every 2 weeks for the first 4 months, then every 3 months after that. This helps make sure your Joy! is wearing evenly across the sleep surface, for years of joyful sleep.

Does the Joy! mattress have a weight limit?

As a guide, your Joy! mattress can support approximately up to 150kgs per person.

How long will my Joy! mattress last?

With love and care (and sometimes positive words of affirmation), your Joy! mattress should last at least 8-10 years. However, you may need to replace your mattress more frequently as your sleep requirements change.

Is the Joy! mattress resistant to dust mites?

Yes, all our beds are treated with Fresh Protect to protect from dust mites, mildew & mould, so those pesky nasties should be a non-issue.

Can I pack my Joy! mattress back in the box?

Nope. Your Joy! mattress was rolled and packed under machine pressure and once the cat is out of the bag, it ain't going back in. (But we're happy to accept vids of you trying) 😊

I'm so excited, when will my Joy! arrive?

I recently stayed at my grandma/auntie/friend’s house in Auckland and I had the best sleep ever on a Joy!  How do I get one if I’m not in Auckland?

We are busy trying to forge paths to get everywhere, don’t you worry.  In the meantime, please contact hello@joy.co.nz and we’ll see if we can find an alternate solution.

I would like to see the bed, can I view it in a store?

No, to keep the Joy! the best value possible we pop all the savings back into the price, so we don’t sell in a store.  However - if a bed in a box you can see and touch before purchase is your jam, feel free to check out the good folks at BedsRus who have a Zero mattress for you to see.

Would the Joy! Kitset base be compatible with my headboard?

Yes! The Joy! Kitset base includes headboard brackets on the Queen size and larger.

The headboard bracket is a standard industry fitting and size so your headboard should fit perfectly to bring you that extra bit of Joy!

Will my Joy! have a VOC smell to it?

All of our bedding foams are manufactured locally in New Zealand by Sleepyhead to the world’s best practice guidelines. As part of the strict foam manufacturing process, new foam airs for a period of time to fully cure and allow any emissions to dissipate before they are used in the mattress production process. We are proud of our products and their quality and we hope you can sleep easy knowing our products are safe for you and your family to sleep on.

How many boxes will I be expecting?

Your Joy! bed arrives in one handy (easy to recycle) box, and if you were a smart little cookie and tacked on a super easy kitset base, that comes in two boxes.
