The boring bits

This warranty applies in New Zealand to Sleepyhead Joy® foam mattresses made by New Zealand Comfort Group Ltd (“Comfort Group”) and purchased from a Comfort Group authorised retailer in New Zealand. It covers faulty workmanship and materials on the terms set out below.

You must be the original purchaser and provide satisfactory proof of purchase to claim under this warranty. This warranty is not transferable and is valid only in the country of manufacture and sale.

This warranty commences on the purchase date as shown on the proof of
purchase and is valid for ten (10) years from that date (“warranty period”). The warranty period will continue after repair or replacement but will not be extended or renewed after a claim.  

Please read and follow all of our recommendations and instructions for use and care.

This warranty will not apply:

- if our manufacturer tags or labels have been damaged or removed from the mattress.

- if the claim is not made within a reasonable time of the issue occurring.

- if mattress is unsanitary, badly stained, or in unhealthy or unsafe condition (use of a waterproof mattress protector will help keep your mattress clean).

- to fair wear & tear including indentations and softening (see use and care instructions).

- to issues related to comfort choice, medical conditions, user preference e.g. level of firmness, temperature comfort, choice of mattress sizing, whether your sheets and covers fit.

- to damage and faults due to failure to follow use and care instructions, including without limitation failure to promptly unwrap the mattress or allow time for expansion, new bed smell.

- to damage due to unsuitable base support (see use and care instructions).

- to minor manufacturing anomalies that do not affect the use or performance of the mattress.

- to commercial or business use.

- to mattresses sold as used/second-hand, damaged, ‘seconds’ or floor stock.

How to claim:

You may make a claim under this warranty through the retailer you purchased from. If the retailer lodges your claim with us on your behalf then we may respond directly to you and/or the retailer.

What we will do:

If there is a manufacturing fault for which we are responsible we will at our option either replace or repair the mattress or the affected component. If identical materials or the same model are not available at that time we may
substitute materials, components, or model of similar quality and type.  

We may request photos of your mattress to help us assess your claim and we may need to inspect the mattress at our factory. A fee may be applied to cover collection, inspection and redelivery. This fee is fully refundable to you if
there is a manufacturing fault.

Is Joy! really made in NZ?

Yes! We are 100% Kiwi. Joy! products are made right here in the Sleepyhead factory in Auckland.

Is the Joy! mattress resistant to dust mites?

Yes, all our beds are treated with Ultra Fresh to protect from dust mites, mildew & mould.

Do I need to flip the Joy! mattress?

You don’t need to flip your Joy! mattress, but we do recommend rotating your mattress every two weeks for the first four months, then every three months thereafter. This helps ensure that your mattress is wearing evenly across the sleep surface.

Can I use an electric blanket on my Joy! mattress?

Yes, but remember to follow the manufacturer's instructions

Can I pack my Joy! mattress back in the box?

Nope. Your Joy! mattress was rolled and packed under machine pressure and once it’s out, it won’t go back.

How long will my Joy! mattress last?

With love and care, your Joy! Mattress should last at least 8-10 years. However, you may need to replace your mattress more frequently as your sleep requirements change.

Does the Joy! mattress have a weight limit?

As a guide, your Joy! mattress can support approximately up to 150kgs per person.

Is my Joy! mattress safe?

Joy! Is made in New Zealand, to New Zealand standards. You can rest easy knowing your mattress is made with the highest quality materials.
